The Crumpler Karachi Outpost (L) Backpack (Gunmetal/Grey) works like a supa-sized go anywhere photo & 17-inch laptop combo gear carrier. Turning conventional wisdom on its head, the face down/bum up large Karachi employs a rearward opening to provide easy-as-all-get-out access to 20 litres of meticulously organized camera kit - preventing prospective pocket pickerers in the process. The padded main compartment is fully configurable and, like the padded laptop compartment, fully removable, meaning the large Karachi can be used just for cargo should the need arise.
- Rearward Opening: On location you place the bag front down to access your gear, meaning the bag's harness, its back pad - and you - all stay cleaner
- The removable padded photo compartment features: a zippered internal mesh cover, a fully configurable 13-piece velcro and padded nylon divider system,, including two with fold down flaps, three velcro-mounting elasticised stays
- The removable padded laptop compartment features: capacity to hold 17-inch laptop, six-pocket clutter buster
- Each side features: a large, gusseted pocket with hooded zipper
- Detachable Laptop Compartment: A bag within a bag that can be removed entirely when not required, the Karachi's padded laptop compartment has its own integrated carry grip and six-pocket clutter buster. Positioned between your lap and a hot poota, it will also prevent crotch cook
- Detachable Main Compartment: Want to spend some time with your Karachi sans camera gear? Easy. Just detach the padded main compartment from its top, side and bottom velcro fasteners, and the two of you are footloose and photo free
- Fully Adjustable Ergonomic Carrying System: Wide, body contoured and filled to the gills with EVA foam, the Karachi's fully adjustable ergonomic harness straps combine with chest and waist belts to distribute weight evenly across your body. Location shoots will never be a pain in the neck again
- Padded Carry Handle: The easiest pick up since Britney went off her meds, the Karachi's carry handle features EVA foam cushioning for comfort and double weave flamed polypropylene for strength and durability
- Tripod Holder: You + tripod = five legs, three of them under one arm. You + The Karachi = two legs + two arms when you use the included tripod pouch to secure your three-legged friend to the bag
- Moisture Control: To help wick away perspiration into the sweatasphere, the rear of the bag and underside of its harness both feature Air Mesh padding. The rear also features venting channels to keep fresh air circulating between the bag and your back
- Dual Accessory Loops: The injection molded D ring accessory loop on each harness strap lets you attach various photo-gidgetry and gadgetry for instant access
- Waterproofing Measures: Be it rain, hail, sleet, snow, beer or mixed drinks, the bag's 1,000D outer is designed to weather the storm and keep your equipment dry as a nun's gusset
- Anti-absrasive Surfaces: The 1,000D outer and brushed padded nylon interior combine phenomenal strength with exceptional smoothness and malleability. Your clothes don't catch. Your equipment don't get scratched
- Structural Integrity: A full height polyethylene-EVA foam laminate insert at the back ensures the bag holds its shape, even when loaded up to pussy's bow
- Built Touch: The bag features a super strength water resistant 1,000D outer, 300D Rip-stop lining, flamed polypropylene webbing, triple strength S-Bend webbing attachment, injection molded velcro and bonded nylon thread with bar tack stitching on all stress points
