The Radio Silenz headphones operate on a single AAA battery that will power the noise cancellation feature for up to 50 hours. With noise cancellation on, outside ambient noise can be reduced by up to 85%. Also, noise cancellation can be disabled for use without a battery.

The headphones also employ a "defeat" button that temporarily switches off the noise cancelation and fades down the audio. This allows for conversations or announcements to be heard conveniently. Convenience has also been addressed in the closed back, on-ear design, which also rotates 90 degrees and upward for compact, easy transport.
