About the Tangent Devices CP200

The CP200-TS from Tangent Devices is intended to provide the user with a familiar transport layout for controlling VTR like source and record decks. In many applications these will not be 'real' VTR's, but instead will be data files stored on a computer based storage system. A rotary encoder with large dial is provided for Jog/Shuttle functions. This has illuminated Stop, Left and Right indicators providing status feedback for the control. There is a numerical keypad for operations like timecode entry and a set of keys labeled with typical grading and editing functions. A single, angled, 40 x 2 character VFD display is located at the top of the panel which will be useful to indicate mode, or can be used to label the 5 buttons beneath it.
