With the tripod's ballhead, you can maneuver your optics in position with a minimum of effort, but you need this tripod Quick Release Plate to replace and install spotting scopes or binoculars at the drop of a hat. Almost any spotting scope or binocular will mount to the Vortex Summit XLT Quick Release Tripod Ball Head Plate and detach just as rapidly. All you have to do is screw in your device to the male threaded input of the quick release plate and Vortex Optics will do the rest. Summit XLT tripod may be sturdy, but you can also make it fast with the Vortex Summit XLT QR Male Thread Tripod Plate.
