Very nice adaptor but I received a bad one.

Very nice adaptor clamp except when I tried to rotate the top piece. After loosening the screw, even removing the screw, I could not separate the two pieces. I should have returned it for another, instead I shipped it to Acratech at a cost of $ Acratech shipped back a perfectly working adaptor. My advice would be to order these directly from Acratech. Acratech has great product support.

About Acratech Video Adapter with Arca-Style Clamp

The Acratech Video Adapter with Arca-Style Clamp allows you to use an Arca Swiss-compatible quick-release plate (from manufacturers such as Acratech, Kirk, Arca-Swiss, R.R.S. and many others) on your DSLR camera and mount the assembly to a dedicated video head. With both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, the Video Adapter fits any standard video head.

The adapter is 2.4" long and holds over 25 lb., to support nearly any video DSLR setup imaginable. A detent pin prevents Arca-style plates from accidentally sliding out of the clamp. A large 0.6" spirit level ensures that your video will be flush with the horizon.
