"So Far I Like It!"

I've used only one roll, so far. This roll was used on the Great Blue Heron that is accompanying this review so, I havn't any experience with it's consistancy. Now-a-days I mainly use film for wildlife & nature photography and sometimes for weddings. I've not yet used enough to know how it will reproduce skintones but, I suspect it will do well. This film is out of date, so refrigerate our freeze the film, in order, to slow and/or stop the aging process. Don't be afraid to purchase this film- it's good!

About Agfa Agfacolor Optima II 400 Color Negative Film ISO 400, 135mm Size, 36 Exposures (Film Expired 01/2007)

Agfa Optima films are now provided with Agfa EYE VISION TECHNOLOGY in all sensitivity classes (ISO 100, 200, 400) for more precise color reproduction. With these professional films you therefore profit from the technology which has already been introduced for Agfa Vista films. The films with this technology show colors as in life even with difficult subjects. Agfa EYE VISION TECHNOLOGY offers benefits in particular in the case of photos taken under fluorescent light and light from neon tubes and low-energy bulbs. The new Optima 100, 200 and 400 films meet the challenge of this type of illumination without a green tinge. But also certain blue flowers and green textile dyes are reproduced in a more natural way. In addition, films with Agfa EYE VISION TECHNOLOGY are characterized by improvements in gradations of color tone in the red range. This means that pictures exhibit more relief and depth.

In professional photography and creative imaging the main considerations are quality, continuity and individuality. For these reasons the films for this area are measured by special standards. A film only satisfies these high standards if its performance is above-average. And it will only be accepted if it achieves this performance with extreme accuracy, consistency and with the maximum reliability. The wide range of professional applications calls for a correspondingly wide range of different emulsions, whose characteristics must be designed exactly for specific areas of use.

Agfa Professional films are specified to satisfy these exceptional standards. They combine the maximum quality with maximum reliability: optimum color saturation and tonal definition, exact contrast ranges, exemplary grey balance, the finest detail rendition in the critical highlight and shadow areas, extreme sharpness and fine granularity, and uniform exposure requirements at short and long exposure times.
