About the AKG Acoustics C414 XLS

The C 414 XLS from AKG is a large diaphragm condenser microphone ideal for detailed pickup of acoustic instruments. The mic offers 5 selectable polar patterns, giving you the perfect solution for any recording situation. The mic has an extremely high SPL capability, wide dynamic range and low self-noise to produce clean, lifelike audio without overloads or distortion.

The mic's metal body and transformerless design make it immune to electrostatic and electromagnetic interference for trouble-free operation. The capsule is internally mounted on an elastic suspension to minimize vibration and handling noise.

A set of 3 switchable bass cut filters and 3 pre-attenuation pads let you reduce low frequency pickup and increase the mic's headroom while recording loud sound sources. Bi-color LED indicators let you see the selected polar pattern and output overload at a glance. The mic comes complete with a metal road case, a shock mount, pop filter and foam windscreen.
