Alvin C Clamp - manufacturing defect
The part arrived quickly and looked solid and well made, but the hole where the lamp post is supposed to slide into did not meet the stated & standard spec of 1/2" diameter. How very disappointing as there seem to be no storefront retailers who sell a part like this. It is not Adorama's fault that the vendor who makes this (in China) was careless in production of the part. Adorama customer service was wonderful in providing me satisfactory resolution without any hassle or hesitation.

I said it already, but it's made much more sturdy.
This seems like such a small thing, but I've been looking for a replacement, since my old one broke. It supports my hobby lamp which has a magnifying lens. I noticed it was more thick to prevent any side to side problems.
