I selected this product, because I understood the product doc to say that it would protected a CAT5 connection. It does not.

SurgeArrest 8 outlet

from Roseburg, OR Phone Line Splitter that Allows use of two pieces of equipment at once, such as a modem and phone. This unit did not have the two jacks to plug in the phone and modem. My current one does. The photos do, so what happened to this one? other wise the current SurgeArrest as been great!

Saved my life!

from Falls Church, VA

This surge protector saved my life! Well... not my life... but my computer's life. There was a really bad storm recently which caused a few surges throughout my neighborhood. My house was hit twice. The power surge fried the protector but left all of the devices hooked up to it in great working order. I was so relieved that my expensive components were safe. I knew I had to buy another one of these to replace the one that fried. I will continue to buy APC products for all of my surge protection needs.
