Took me a couple of days to get used to Windows 8, but now I absolutely love this computer. The only thing I really don't understand is why the hard drive is partitioned. After doing Windows Easy Transfer to move my User Files from my old Sony Vaio, I did move them from the C drive to the D drive - just because it's set up that way (you don't really need to do this if you don't want to). BTW, fantastic tech support from Asus for the couple of questions I had.

I've had this laptop for about a month and so far I really like it and haven't had any problems. I was worried I wouldn't like Windows 8 - it seemed overly-geared towards touch screens - but honestly I think the way it was advertised played up its differences from previous Windows OS. There are a bunch of useless apps on the start page you can uninstall too. A couple of weird design choices by Asus - the speakers are on the bottom, the caps lock light is not really in an intuitive place, and the touch pad is annoying if you don't customize the settings. Those are small complaints though - it gets all of the important things right. The battery life is great and the keyboard is nice too - the numeric keypad is useful if you have to enter long strings of numbers often. Overall I would recommend it.
