About Aviom AV-P2

Each channel's analog output level can be easily adjusted using the front-panel DIP switches. The AV-P2 modules offer the flexibility of being connected in any combination of serial or parallel connections, utilizing Pro16 A-Net Distributors. The system allows for unlimited daisy-chaining of devices and parallel splits within a single system, making it highly adaptable to your specific needs.

The AV-P2 receives a 16-channel A-Net stream originating from a Pro16 input module, console interface card, or Pro64 audio network. This is made possible through the ASI A-Net Systems Interface module. A convenient front-panel rotary switch allows you to set the output to any one of the 16 channels.

In the case of a selected channel being part of a stereo pair, the left and right channels are automatically routed to the corresponding outputs on the AV-P2. If the selected channel is not part of a stereo pair, the audio is routed to both the left and right outputs, ensuring optimal audio distribution.

The AV-P2 uses Aviom's A-Net digital audio protocol to distribute audio over standard Cat-5e cables. This protocol supports plug-and-play installation, real-time distribution with sub-millisecond latency, and long cable runs up to 500ft/150m.

Powering the AV-P2 is a breeze, with options to use an external DC power supply or power over the Cat-5e cable using an A-Net Distributor. The AV-P2 also supports transmission of Pro16 A-Net audio streams over single- or multi-mode fiber optics with certain standard third-party media converters.

The AV-P2 comes with reversible mounting flanges, allowing two AV-P2 modules to be mounted side by side on a standard 1U rack tray. This module is fully compatible with all Pro16 series products, making it a versatile addition to your audio equipment.
