Muslin

I was expecting a darker Blue out of the box. The photo used in the ad is misleading. But just as white background changes with the amount of light on the background so does this. For a creaseless background you will need to iron the creases out of it when you first get it because it comes folded in a box. If it remains hanging that is no big deal but one needs to plan for that if you are traveling with it. It is very suitable for portrait background and it is a good quality. I needed a solid colored background and it works fine. The size works well with an individual or a few people in the portrait.

Not as dark blue as pictured

Not a dark blue as pictured. More of a sky blue.

Not as dark of a blue as pictured

The color is NOT as dark of a deep blue as pictured. It's actually lighter, but not as light blue as chromakey blue. More of a medium blue. Like one reviewer stated, almost a baby blue, but slightly darker. I've noticed that about some of the pictures posted here, either the true colors are sometimes off or are lost in posting. I'm rather torn on how well this will work for portraits due to the shade of blue. :(

Break out the iron or steam machine, this item is good but it wrinkles easy. I like the large surface area.

Good for the price!

I use it for portraiture. It had crease lines out of the box, but I ironed them out, it was fine. A little thin but still worth the price.
