A Good Buy For The Traveling Photographe

This is a good heavy duty tripod for travel if you are on a limited budget. The portability of this tripod has not compromised stability. The tripod is very solid. My use of the tripod has been limited to HDR landscapes and macro photography; for this, the tripod works well.

I tried a lot of travel tripods and found they had one thing in common, skinny legs but not this beast. I gave up a little in weight but gained so much in stability. Its very compact, has a good ball head, and saved me enough money to buy something else. I can't say enough about the staff. I come with a lot questions and they never rush me off to get to the next sale. That means a lot to me.

I use this tripod to shoot real estate, so it needs to move around pretty quickly and easily, which it does. Set up and break down are fast. Legs pull in easily when moving room to room and it feels rock solid.

Great Combo of features

Great bang for the buck. Solid and well built. The twist locks are a big plus over clips. Sturdy and the reverse folding feature makes it tight for packing. Great quality.

Questions about this item:

Deborah G  I am a landscape photographer and need a good, lightweight travel tripod for my full frame Nikon and lenses. I currently have a Dolica travel tripod with ball head. The ball head no longer holds my camera and lenses securely and the legs are not as stable as I would like. I've heard good things about the Benro Travel Angel tripod. Does the Benro head hold up to a 7 lbs camera and lens securely with no moving?
CHRIS L  Hi Debrora, I don't have a full frame camera (D-90) but I do have a manfrotto 496RC2 ball head that I use with this tripod. I like this tripod as it fits in a suitcase and is pretty stable for my all needs.
Lorraine F  Hi, Is this tripod as good as they claim it is?
FREDERIC B  Hi, The Benro tripod works well for me. It fits in my suitcase easily. It is stable. It easily supports my camera and long lens, Canon 100 - 400 mm. I purchased extra mounting plates for the ball head, but they are not really needed. In short, I like it. I think it is a good buy. FredB
