Rock & Roll with Benro..........

from Brooklyn. N.Y.  -  Photo Enthusiast

Have a sml frame Canon T-3 1100D and use the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 to shoot sports. Ballhead works fine. Just had to get use to shooting with this mounted on a monopod. Takes a little learning, but works for me now.

Good fit for my requirements

from Lincoln, Ca.  -  Photo Enthusiast

Got this to use on an old Bogen 3001 aluminum tripod, which it fit perfectly, with adequate capacity for my Canon 5D Mk.III, and 28-135, 17-35 2.8, and 70-300 4.0 IS L. Maybe a little marginal for the telephoto, but I probably should get the tripod collar to use with this lens. Single tightening control, but works fine for my rig.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Will this head fit monopod?
Clifford Z  I use the SIRUI P-326 monopod and the Benro BH2 works great when teamed together. The monopod has a thread stud which is reversible and fits a ton on different heads. I use it to shoot football, baseball, hockey, etc. sports. I never tried it for wildlife or anything else but fast and slow moving sports.
Vic L  Can this be used with a monopod?
RAY L  It depends on the mono pod, I have two Mono pods one with 1/4" and one with both 1/4" and 3/8" camera fixing screw. You will need the 1/4 screw to fit the release. You might find the Benro BH2 Single Action Quick Release Ballhead is a little too big for a mono pod, in my opinion.
Vic L  My camera is a Canon Rebel T2i and at present I screw my monopod directly to the camera. I am looking for an inexpensive quick-release ballhead or adaptor to which I can connect my monopod and my camera. Can you recommend a suitable ballhead. Your advise will be appreciated. Thank you.
