Well Made Portable Tripod

Well-made; supports D40 nicely. Useful for tabletop product photography and adds portable stability in the field. A fair amount of smaller tripods are mostly plastic 'toys' - with this you get what you pay for.

Perfect in-your-bag tripod

This is a great little tripod that fits the bill. I use it with a Nikon D3, and it holds the weight of the camera perfectly. This is a great addtion to my overstuffed bag as it is small enough not to be noticable but strong enough to handle a big camera and different lens combinations.
