Manfrotto typical quality

Typical Manfrotto: built like a tank. Just surprised by the degree of finition that is somewhat lower than usual for Manfrotto stuff.

Questions about this item:

jim R  will this fit the Quantaray qsx 9500 tripod Quick Release Plate or do you have original plates for this tri pod ?
CHARLES R  My primary tripod is an old Bogen 3040 that uses this style of plate. Since I mostly use older Leitz glass, I prefer the 3/8" threaded bolt that attaches to the lens body. It is stronger than the 1/4" threaded bolt that is used on domestic gear. Bogen was bought out by Manfrotto some years ago and this style (hexagonal) plate is used by other tripod makers. In 2012, I purchased some additional plates made by Manfrotto and they are identical to the original Bogen ones. I am not familiar with the Quantaray tripods. Thus, I am not certain that it uses the Manfrotto-style plates. It appears that the tripod uses a square plate. You really should 'Google' this item and note the technical specs and reviews for it.
Shopper  does this work for a canon 60d?
WILLIAM R  I purchased this quick release as a replacement for my original Manfrotto ETG 100 QR but I seem to recall returning it for the next size smaller to fit my 60D. Of course, I recently found the missing ETG 100 so now I have two. Buy them both and return one.
