560B lighter monopod for DSLR video

from New Jersey shore  -  Semi-pro Photographer

Lighter than DV monopod and does not have pan head, but that makes it easier to carry and use both for stationary shots with the feet, quick moving shots as a monopod or as a handy quick steady cam substitute for casual video.

I love the product.

from Harlingen, Texas  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I use the monopod with a small video camera. It's very lightweight and opens quickly. I don't like the tripod legs too much as they snap when you move from one location to another, but I like it's versatility.

Awesome Monopod

from Jacksonville, FL  -  Professional

I bought this monopod to use on a trip to Beijing. It was amazing. The base allows for smooth pans and the feet are very strong. I used it with a Panasonic HDC-SD1 camera. The only downside is it's length when it is folded up but this was never a problem for me.

Questions about this item:

Joe F  Hi,will this monopod hold a 150mmto600mm tamron lens? So you don't have to carry a full tripod around. Thank's Joe
JEFF J  I mainly use this for videos - it doesn't lock down for longer exposure time (e.g. night time, etc.). Also keep your hand on the camera for safety before disengaging with the quick release. I also use a Op/Tech neoprene straps for mono-pods & tripods for comfort while walking about, etc. Otherwise it's a great tool!
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
DIANNE T  The quality of this monopod is first rate. It is a joy to touch all the metal parts that work smoothly over all the cheaper monopods with plastic pieces. This piece of equipment will last and makes videotaping easier.
Joel S  What color cartridge base does it come with, red or black? And what's the difference from a 560-B1 to a 560-B? Thanks!
RICHARD K  Sorry, I don't understand your question. I have the monopod. The three-footed base is black. The detachable faceplate on the top that attaches to your camera is also black. I don't know what the difference is between the 560-B1 and 560-B. Hope this helps somehow.
