Sturdy Construction

By

from Columbia, SC  -  Photo Enthusiast

I brought this with me on a trip to the Outer Banks and found it to be a perfect addition to my gear. Perfect for when you just need that extra bit of stability for shots from a moving vessel. Not intrusive like a tripod in a group function such as Dolphin Watching. This tripod is well built, very sturdy, and easily used. The locks functioned perfectly and never slipped out of position. The only drawback is it's weight, just a little heavy, but not overbearing. I paired this with a Manfrotto tilt head and the two perform wonderful.

Good Choice For This Price Point

By

from Olathe  -  Photo Enthusiast

I have a Manfrotto tripod so when this monopod/head combo went on sale for $79, I snapped it up. The monopod is sturdy and well built. The strap is cloth and strong too. The monopod is heavier than I'd prefer but the weight is not unacceptable. If you want a well made, no frills, inexpensive monopod, then this one is a good choice.

Good solid monopod.

Great monopod but the Bogen tilt head which came with it leaves much to be desired. A 234RC tilt head may be a better fit.

Hardy, but heavy

By

from Seattle  -  Semi-pro Photographer

When I was in a hurry to get a shot set up, it was awkward. It is very sturdy and smoothly clicked out. For my wrist, it was rather heavy. But if you are reasonably strong, I think you won't be disappointed. And for me, I will get the shorter version because I've been caught paying less for flimsy gear - and this is good quality actually.

Compact & sturdy

Nice monopod, sturdy and compact, a little on the heavy side for hiking but would double as a tool to defend yourself if you need to!

Worth Every Penny.

By

from Seattle, WA  -  Photo Enthusiast

I needed a compact monopod that would be beefy enough to hold a 7D with battery grip and long lens. This thing is built like a tank. I added a pivot head so I can flip quickly to portrait orientation. I've only started to use it, but can tell in a short amount of time that this was a great purchase. Highly recommended.

Strong, Quick and Easy!

By

from Greenville SC  -  Pro Photographer

I purchased the Manfrotto 680B for a quick and easy Mono, something that can be easily raised and lowered while shooting sports and events. I find the Manfrotto 680B very useful for this purpose! The legs expand and contract quickly and easily and the mount is very sturdy holding a D4 and 70-200VRii. The only issue is the lower leg sometimes requires a little push to deploy, but not an issue for me.

Great monopod

This seems to be a well made and solid monopod. Easy to use and transport. I use it with a Canon 100-400L and it gives plenty of support.
