If you have not put a mono pod on your DSLR you are missing the boat. I have not taken mine off my Nikon D800E since I put it on. Not only does it help steady my camera it allows me to get shots I could not get without it. Now I can hang my camera from out the car/Truck/Bus/Train window and get a shot a few inches from the ground. I can hold it up in the air or use it as a crane. But the beast feature is I connected a handle with a ball Bering head (sideways) and connected to the top of the Mono Pole then I extended the length of the Monopole so the Camera was perfectly balanced (with no counter weights adding pounds to your setup)and the Monopole now serves as a great stabilizer for video and cost me nothing. If I had to purchase the parts I used it would have been less then $5 and looks very professional, much better then the stabilizers on the market. This is one purchase you will never regret

Pros: Light weight and sturdy enough, this is great for holding my speed light and I can then lift it above my head or hold it in closer to a subject as needed in the field. I also appreciate having it along on long uphill hikes where I can use it use it as a walking stick and a speed light holder when needed. That's not meant to be a joke it really is helpful. Cons: Using a mono pod in a sports venue might make some sense if you need to maintain a certain height but I do have some difficulty holding a mono pod still and usually find it easier and more useful to use proper holding techniques on the camera where I lean and brace on something and make a tripod out of my own body when a tripod can't be set up. I just can't seem to hold a monopod still enough, or level enough, I lean one way or the next.

Convenient and easy to set up in places that you can't use a tripod. The only complaint is that it is a little bit short.

I've been putting this into my cart for a long time. Before one finally came free with my camera purchase. I love it. It is very portable to take anywhere, sturdy and get the work done. Been using it with my D600, D7000 and my 24-70mm. And it works great.

This device is perfect when a tripod is not a good choice. lightweight, portable, easy to pack, gives better stability than just hand holding the camera Cons- cover for the camera screw mount is flimsy and easy to misplace

This monopod is very light and compact which makes it more manageable to take with you. I have had other monopods that slip while locked, this one does not slip. I purchased a V rest gun accessory which has the same thread mount and is perfect for resting my long lens on. Overall, I am happy with this product.

This seems to be a pretty solid mono-pod for the price. Great for stabilizing the camera with a bulky lens without the pain of a tripod.

I read different reviews and we all see things differently, but For me, I think its a excellent choice for the money.I use a 60d with a 580 and a 40d with same flash and even though it is very light weight aluminum its very very sturdy and I had no issues what soever ,the truth is I had looked for a good all around mono pod pole and there is very little to chooose from, without being deeply in to the budget. So I think ist perfect .its height is great fr tall folks and a very small amount of room needed for storage and its easy to pack with me on my camera bag.

Great for telephoto lenses and low light when you want to steady your camera and remain portable. Lightweight, no frills, always works. Also works as a boom for an external flash if you have an assistant.

Very light, yet this monopod is extremely sturdy and durable. Easily extends and collapses. Has excellent extension so a tall photographer can use it as comfortably as a shorter shooter. If your tripod has become unweildly and heavy, this is the way to go.

This tripod is very light weight and priced right as well however, I did return it for another because it was to light and I just didn't feel comfortable putting my 70-200 heavy canon lens on it. But at first I did like it especially how light it was. So I'd recommend it if your starting out but for a few dollars more you can get one that to me provides more peace of mind.

Monopod was provided as a free gift with purchase of DSLR. I also ordered a rotating head for the monopod as one cannot tip the camera without a swivel/tip head.

This monopod does exactly what it was intended to do. It is very sturdy for something at its price point, and I have no complaints. Good Product.

I use this monopod with my D600 or D7100 with battery grip and either have a NIkkor 24-70 or 70-200 (attached to tripod collar) and haven't had any problems. I love that it almost no weight to my bag when I strap it to the side. The clasps keep each section sturdily in place- no slipping.

I use this to take video with my Canon 6D. The adjustments are simple and its sturdy enough for me. Its a cheap alternative to some REALLY expensive monopods, and it does what it should....it steadys the camera.

Great monopod hands down! Very good for stabilizing the camera. I used it for LA Fashion Week and it did the job perfectly. I give it 10 out of 10!

I received this monopod as a part of a kit. The monopod is very light but not really strong. I would only buy it for a compact camera or very small DSLr.
