Review Summary
I wrote this book because I felt that photographers needed a comprehensive text dealing with the very specialized area of lighting portrait photography. Other books seemed either too technical or too esoteric and difficult to follow. My aim was to make available to the serious photographer an attractive, easy-to-follow book on portrait lighting techniques that also conveyed my love of photography as an art.
In this revised edition, more than 100 new color and 300 black-and-white photos illustrate how, with a minimum of equipment, in a studio or out-of-doors, anyone can take beautiful portraits of friends, family or professional clients. Whether a beginning photographer or a budding professional, readers will find practical information on the art of photographic portrait.
