I used this for a wedding and it worked perfectly. (Camera: DVX100B) Was able to keep it on throughout the ceremony and off and on throughout the reception. I was there a total of 4 hours and it kept going the whole time on one battery charge. The battery can get a little heavy after awhile but i kept it in a still camera bag backpack and it worked like a charm. I was also a little worried about the cigarette/ACDC plug disconnecting but it was fine... No problems. It's hard to tell in the picture but basically this thing has a wall plug that connects to a cigarette plug adaptor, that connects to the battery. That way (worse case scenario) you can always plug into the wall with an extension cord should the battery die. It comes with a 100 Watt bulb that can only be used if you plug it into the wall and a 50 Watt bulb that can be used with the battery. I would recommend buying a few extra 50W bulbs just in case. The 50 Watt bulb is very adequate in lighting. I had someone standing 60 feet away and it helped... The charger kinda sucks (doesn't have an indicator light) and you can't really leave it charging indefinitely without damaging the battery, but if you follow the instructions they give you, you'll be fine. I previously had a $350 LED lamp that used DVX100 batteries (with the power source mounted to the top of the camera) that put out half the light this thing does, so if you're looking for good light at a low cost this thing is a steal at the price. I'd much rather this light than the one I paid 3X more for... This one is a little more of a hassle having to deal with the cord to the heavy battery in the backpack, but it more than makes up for this with the bright light.

I haven't used it yet but I can't wait. I have to order more bulbs. I thought it came with 1 bulb with a adjustable switch to it. Again great size [...]

I've found the connection between the battery and the light to be a little shaky, and next time I'd go with a smart charger of some kind.
