The adjustable brightness feature and portability make this a good value.

About six months ago, I was introduced to this light by a student who was enrolled in a course I was teaching. He uses this light for macro photography and for work with a charity foundation which I probably cannot disclose in this review. He advised this light was perfect for those two applications due to the fact that is has a digital dimmer circuit, and allowed me to use it in a few exercises. I recently purchased two of these units from Adorama; they were incredibly affordable and came with two filters each and free AC adapters! The flexibility of AC or DC power was a plus for me as well. I was curious as to how I would mount them on my light stands, but was pleased to discover that they have been threaded to fit standard mount plates or threads for most light stands! They have specific applications and will not replace your normal light kits or strobes, but they are an amazing value! They are also incredibly versatile! Overall, I am incredibly pleased with this purchase!

This is a great little video light for the price. A lot better that my 90 LED light.

This would be a good product if the battery connections were more secure. After having one replaced my replacement had the same default...poor battery connection with one AA terminal loose.

Excellent price, good size, light weight and best of all: two lights for the price of one using AA batteries One of the units has a greenish tint and the other gives pure white light

Using for indoor lighting for romantic mood setting. Portable, lightweight, and easy to use. Has 2 filters for diffusing light (daylight and tungsten balance). I would prefer rechargeable instead of batteries.

I use these lights to add a little "splash" of light here and there to brighten a dark area or add interest when I shoot home interiors. While they certainly will never replace my studio lights, they are more than adequate for what I use them for. Very pleased.

The battery connection was broken on one of two units. Construction of battery connections was very flimsy. I returned both units; afraid the second unit would also break.

Needed a cheap handheld light for close ups on cloudy days. This is it. And you get two of them.

Handy light source for less than 6 ft distance videos or stills. If you can manage the color temperature, it can also be used as second light when using flash.

I needed a few battery powered continuous lights for use as accents in a photography project and also thought I might try them for video as well. I normally use Lighting that is powered from AC wall current when doing video. I have a few halogen lights that run off of heavy battery pack and have never been that happy with them. When I saw these LED lights for a great price I figured I would give them a try. Wow, was I surprised at how much I like them. They are not what I would consider "lightweight" but are no heavier than a typical high-end on camera flash like a 580EX/SB900 and that is completely manageable. Since they run on 4 AA batteries it is very easy to power them using the ones I normally have for my kit. One big advantage is the ability to power them with 6V DC via the external battery pack plug. Using a "Y" splitter cord I am able to run two of these lights from a small 6V lead-acid battery pack for pretty much all day long. I am not sure how long they would run, since I have never exhausted the battery even in a full day of shooting. The dimmer works pretty well at higher output levels, but can be a bit touchy at the lowest levels and a little harder to dial in, but I have never really needed to use these lights at the lowest settings in actual filming so it is a non issue. Overall I am really pleased with them and really happy I took the chance and ordered them from Adorama.

Amazing light output and great that the light output can be adjusted...will find this useful for more than photography. Only problem is figuring out how to open the battery compartment the first time.

I really love this. I especially love the ability to dim the brightness with the dimmer dial. Much better than putting scotch tape over the flash. It was a great price and I'm very happy with my purchase.

These were sold as a pair; one is marginally adequate as a video or macro light within 6 feet of the subject, the other puts out about as much light as a single candle. Don't waste your money.

Easy to use,I use it with a D-3100. Used it about six times so far and have to say I am very pleased. Good light output. I found that using the dimmer feature, the AA batteries can last a long time!

The most powerful LED light in its class, the Bescor LED-60x 60W All-in-One LED Light uses twin, 3W LED bulbs to produce the equivalent of 60W of halogen illumination. Requiring only 1.5 amps of power, this lightweight, on-camera unit can last for over 3 hours on 4 AA batteries - or indefinitely via an optional 6V AC adapter. And since it's LED, the unit never gets hot to the touch. Included with the light are two filters that slide easily into the housing - one for diffusion, the other an amber 4500deg.K color correction filter for matching indoor light sources. A completely adjustable dimmer switch lets you set the light's intensity as needed, while a swiveling shoe mount lets you bounce or direct lighting into the area it's most needed.
