The Bower 14mm f/2.8 Ultra Wide-Angle Lens with Focus Confirm Chip for Nikon DSLR Cameras gives you approximately a 115deg. angle of view with dramatic perspective when used with a full-frame digital camera or 35mm film camera and a 92.5deg. angle of view with APS-C sized cameras. It includes a special focus confirm chip that allows the lens to work with the camera's focus confirm, auto exposure, auto metering and auto white balance functions.
With hybrid aspherical elements and multi-coated lenses you will produce sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion, aberration and flare. This manual focusing 14mm lens focuses as close as 11" (28 cm) from the lens and has a built-in petal-type lens hood.

Great value and optical quality. Capable of taking incredibly sharp images or providing a huge depth of field. The focus ring is very smooth. It's a great lens for landscapes and night sky shots. Metering and focus confirmation work just fine on a 7100 with the non-cpu lens data set to 15mm. I do have three complaints, but all three are pretty minor and I understood the first two before purchasing it. First, you can't use filters on it. Second, the mounting alignment dot is on the back of the lens not the side, so it takes a bit of fidgeting to get it attached. Last, the focus stops just past infinity, which is unfortunate for sky photography; this isn't a huge issue, it just takes a bit more care to get shots right.
I have only used it for wide-field astrophotography, and it is a very good lens for that purpose. I have been able to get very good images in the f/2.8 to f/4 range. I start at infinity focus and usually have to make only slight adjustments from there. The edge distortion is normal for a lens like this, but it can be easily corrected in post. I imagine it would be a very good real estate or landscape lens as well. It simply can't be beat for the price.
