While I have not yet used this it appears to be built well.

All things considered, a great bracket. I have a 6D MK II with a Canon 28 -135 MM F3.5 lens. The bracket is a bit close to the zoom ring, but still acceptable. My issue is that the red clamp knob for the flash cable is too small to tighten really well with fingers, so I replaced it with a torx screw and carry a torx driver. I was worried that the flash cable was not really fixed in position and could fall out of the clamp. Also the twist mechanism nuts that switch the flash from landscape to portrait are plastic and I stripped the threads while tightening them so that my flash did not flop around. I replaced them with stainless steel nuts and now all is well. I have no problems now and would recommend the bracket to anyone.

This bracket is well-built for the price, small and unimposing, and easy to use. Unfortunately, I mistakenly purchased it to use with my Canon 6D and the arm of the bracket came too close to the hand grip of the camera for me to hold it comfortably. I even tried it on my old Rebel XT and it was better but still uncomfortable. For short shoots, this would probably be fine, but not for an 8 hour wedding. When purchasing this, make sure it is only for entry level or compact DSLR cameras. Not for prosumer or professional level cameras (only because of how close the bracket arm is to the camera mount). It's a bummer I'll have to return it because I really did like this bracket.

I love this bracket, I have it for about 8 years and still in the same shape I purchased, the only request that i have is that it should be remake with a much lighter material.
