Review Summary
The XGA-resolution BenQ MX813ST Digital Projector is a powerful, versatile projector with 2700 ANSI lumens of brightness at a 10,000:1 contrast ratio that renders large, bright images even when you have a fair amount of ambient light to cope with. The ST in MX813ST stands for short throw, an attribute that makes this projector, a favorite of educators. The MX813ST can fill an 81" (2.1 m) screen from only 39" (1 m) away. What that means is more floor space for audience members, less interruptions and less chance of you being an inadvertent shadow puppet by interfering with the beam.
The MX812ST makes beautiful, vivid pictures thanks to its Texas Instruments DLP DMD (Digital Light Processor Digital Micromirror Device) imaging panel with BrilliantColor. But the MX813ST can do lot more than making large bright pictures. For one thing, it can make them all over the world. It's got an international auto switching 100 to 240 volt 50/60Hz power supply and it can project video in the NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards. Speaking of international, its onscreen display (OSD) offers your choice of 28 languages.
The MX813ST is also compatible with most Macintosh and PC resolutions. It has 720p, 1080i and 1080p high resolution and those high definition signals will stay in pristine form from the source to the projector, thanks to the MX813ST's HDMI v 1.3 input.
