About BlackRapid

The Black Rapid Tether Kit offers a completely versatile and secure sling strap system for wearing an iPad or tablet hands-free. With the iPad or tablet positioned in a Wallee Case (sold separately) and using the included streamlined "Hitch" D-Ring attachment, the Wallee Connect Lite allows the iPad or tablet to lay flat for a comfortable fit on the body.

BlackRapid's included ConnectR has a locking carabiner, swivel base and screw-lock gate to keep the tablet secure, yet allows the iPad to glide on the strap for easy access in use. The Wallee Connect Lite by Tether Tools secures the strap to the iPad by locking into the Wallee Case. The tablet can be rotated on the Connect Lite for portrait or landscape viewing. When not being worn, the Connect Lite and Wallee Case can mount to a tripod, arm or clamp for dozens of other convenient uses.

Overpriced for what it is, but effective

from Darien, CT  -  Business Professional

Honestly, I could probably have come up with some sort of strap that does the same thing for much less, but it is very effective and provides excellent peace of mind if you use any of the Black Rapid camera straps that attach to the tripod mount on your camera. When you have invested big $ in your body & lenses, paying $20 for insurance to keep it from smashing to the ground is probably worth it. Not sure what the carabiners are for, I just used one strap of the set. So find a friend and split the purchase or if you have two bodies, you are all set.
