Does what it's supposed to, no fuss

When I buy a unit like this I really don't want any bells and whistles: no hidden (and unremovable) disc partitions with 'value added' software, no separate USB cords or AC adapters for power. I want to plug the unit in, watch it spin up, use it and then drop it in my bag. This unit fills the bill nicely. It comes formatted for Windows but I reformatted for Mac, and started using it immediately. Period. It's compact, quiet, and does the job I bought it for. The USB cable could be a little longer, but that's a minor thing (and the only reason I didn't go five stars).
