One of the Best GNDs Around!

This is a good filter for balancing the light in your shots. The only complaint i have is that is a screw on filter and not a plate. The plate GNDs offer more flexibility in balancing the light.

Useful filter

Quite a useful filter and I get the effect I desire out of my photos. No question about the build quality, but I always find it difficult to screw on by hand, especially since this filter comes on and off my lens more often than most other filters. After it's on and I try rotating the graduation element I find myself sometimes rotating the whole filter almost to the point where it falls off. I would still recommend it for its usefulness and effect.

Sturdy and subtle - a good choice

The B+W does what a neutral density graduated filter should / could do: slightly darkens the sky (or a water reflection) compared to land. It is often difficult to see the effect and orientation of a grad NDF through the lens / viewfinder, particularly on a bright day. I discovered that a one-word label on the front of the filter is placed with the maximum darkening point, making it easy to orient the filter correctly. The rings are firm, mount securely, and turn easily to adjust for orientation - very well made.

great filter

Returned a Tiffen from another shop, got the B + W from [...]. No comparison, this is a solid filter and I love the results. HDR like results.
