Got 3rd gen batteries (better)
I ordered these in February of 2014. I received the newer, 3rd gen version of the batteries, rated for 1800 cycles instead of 1500. Nice.

The best of the best!
These NIMH cells power high drain devices like flashlights etc for a longer time. These are also low self discharge. They're not like the old rechargeables that were always dead when you went to use them. I'd suggest the SONY wall charger that Adorama sells. It has 4 independent charging channels as opposed to the Sanyo charger that will only charge cells in pairs.

great batteries
These work great. Although I have not charged them 1500 times to verify they last that long, I am pretty sure they're better than single use alkaline which I have discontinued using and recommend everyone do the same.

Perfect to go with the AA charger pack
I bought this along with the AA Eneloop charger pack. Nice thing about it is that the AA charger also is capable of charging AAA Eneloops so it was the perfect combo.
