Capacity drops down after a few cycles

By

from NY  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

After a few recharges, the capacity dropped fast. One dropped all the way down to 678 mAH Tried the refresh function on the charger a few times but never got close to the 2000 mAH stated on the package. Not the Sony quality that I expected.

Excellent Experience

By

from Mason City, IA  -  Value Oriented

My original purchase was identified as an 8 pack. When it arrived as a 12 pack for the same price, I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent service from Adorama, as usual. I haven't used the batteries yet, but I expect as a Sony product they will be fine. They don't expire until 2017.

Honest responsible retailing!

By

from Brooklyn, NY  -  Quality Oriented

I assume that the batteries work like batteries normally do. I purchased two 8 packs at an extremely good price which turned out to be an inadvertant price mistake. Adorama instead sent one 12 pack for what I had expected to pay for a single 8 pack, and honestly explained what had occured. You can't beat that.

pretty good for the price

By

from Fremont CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

I have used this to charge and restore some 20 AA and AAA size NiMH batteries and they are all working very well (some of them have not been used since 2009) after the charge. With the price I paid I am very satisfy with its performance.

Questions about this item:

richard r  Do the batteries come with a charger? If not, how do you charge them? thanks
TITUS B  Richard, any battery charger will work (you can buy them locally at any store). However, if you want to take advantage of the full potential of these batteries, you'll want to invest in a nice charger - any of the MAHA or Powerex chargers (same brand) are great. Adorama doesn't carry them, but Amazon does: http://t-it.us/AmazonMAHA
Shopper  well they charge using a regular charger? Do you need a special charger for this type of battery?
ANDY N  Any charger for NiMH batteries should be fine. If that's what you mean by "regular", then go for it! If it's an older charger that was designed for NiCad batteries, the answer is more complicated... Most likely a NiCad charger will undercharge your NiMH batteries (which won't hurt them, but won't let you use them to their full potential). There are links that explain this better than I can - for instance, google "nimh batteries in nicad charger" (without the quotes) and look at the greenbatteries link.
