I don't use a super wide that often, but I do a lot of Real Estate photography and sometimes need to shoot close up, so need to go wide. Just had this a couple weeks, but so far and very happy with the results.

I tried this lens out on my A6000 via adapter and liked it so much I bought an SL1. Very sharp. Easy to get good results. Super light. Excellent value.
I purchased this lens for travel in mind and can tell you that this is great lens for walking around and when mounted on my Canon SL1 it is the perfect set up. It is razor sharp and the I/S has allowed me not to carry a full size tripod.
I own the Canon 70D, moved up from the 60D mostly for the auto focusing in video mode. This new STM drive on these lenses work great with the 70D, no sound at all when focussing. I was going to buy the canon 15-85 but bought the 10-18 IS STM & 18-135 IS STM. So now I have really wide and further in two great lenses with NO focussing sound. Another great deal is that they are both 67mm filter size so you only need one cap and or hood, and of course if your not buying from Adorama then you are waisting your Time and Money.
Awesome wide lens for crop censer cameras exspecially for the Canon 70d with the STM drive. What makes this lens so great besides the price is it's got image stabilizer unlike the other wides out there that are double in price and don't have IS.
Bought this for use with the Canon C100 Mark2 video camera. Perfect lens for overalls in daylight. Quick and quiet AF. Not sure if i would use this in dark inside settings. Great price - cheap lens.
I bought this lens to complete my lens array. I was missing a good wide angle lens below 18mm. This is quite a nice lens for me. Sure you could spend a lot more, but this does the job.Great for small interiors. The only thing that was unusual, at first, is the manual focus. You must first press your shutter halfway to activate the manual focus. You have to get used to it, but not a problem. The only other thing is it is not compatable with older Kenko extension tubes. But I don't know why you would want to use an extension tube on a super-wide angle lens anyway. Your subject would have to be about 2 inches from the lens. A great lens for the price.
Let me put it this way. This is a lot nicer lens than its relatively low cost would suggest! I had been in the market for a good Ultra wide for my 7D crop sensor camera. I have several other really nice Canon lenses, including a couple of nice "L" lenses. I wanted a Ultra Wide to have in my bag for those occasions that beg for such a lens (like interior shots of old buildings, nice wide landscapes, etc. I didn't intend for it to be something that lives on my camera, but something I could pop on when the situation warrants. I had been looking at the Tokina 11-16mm and the Sigma 8-16mm. The reviews for both of these lenses, in general, were very good and certainly better than the Canon 10-22mm lens. Both had lots of good points in their favor. I was close to pulling the trigger on one of these two, when Canon came out with this gem! I waited until there were some actual hand-on reviews and when I saw the rave reviews this lens was getting, and considering in is about half the price of the other two, it was a no brainer. Yes, the lens is plastic and not "L" lens build quality, but it certainly doesn't feel "cheap." But most important to me is, the IQ on this thing is much better than I'd have expected for a lens this affordable! It is tack sharp and has very little vignetting or barrel distortion (if you hold it parallel to the ground). My prediction: This will become Canon's most indispensable and popular "must have" lens since the "nifty fifty" 50mm f1.8!
I have used it for video and works great. good to have wide angle video lens!!
Exactly what you'd expect from Canon. Great numbers for the money. The anti-vibration feature makes these relatively slow and inexpensive lenses a must. Fills the gap in my focal lengths below 18mm.
This is the not often used lens that augments my 10 - 200mm travel lens. I could not justify spending nearly double or more for a wide angle lens that may be marginally better, but weighs in at double or more. This is the wide angle I've waited for. The great things are the price, low weight, compactness, image stability, and decent image quality (enthusiast level, not pro). Not so great is the vignette that occurs in the corners at the low end of the zoom range when normal thickness filters are used. Slim filters must be used. I'm guessing that after market hoods must be carefully selected to avoid vignettes also. The Canon EW-73C hood works fine as it should. Canon seems to not have a compensation update for this lens yet. It is a feature that hopefully will be available soon. A lower f-stop (like f-4.0) would be nice, but at the price of this lens, f-4.5 is okay.
