About Canon 320-EX

In a first for Canon Speedlites, the versatile new Speedlite 320EX features an LED light on the front of the flash body that can be used to illuminate nearby subjects in dim light. The light is ideal for video recording but can also be used as a modeling light or as an AF assist beam during Live View shooting. When used with EOS DSLRs that have integrated Speedlite transmitters, the Speedlite 320EX can be used as a wireless slave unit positioned off-camera.

A flash release function further facilitates wireless flash shooting by enabling the shutter to be released remotely from the Speedlite 320EX with a two-second delay, which gives the photographer time to re-aim the flash if necessary. The Speedlite 320EX combines rich bounce functionality with high performance, ensuring smooth, professional-looking results.

Flash coverage and guide number can be changed manually by extending or retracting the flash head. The Normal position provides wide coverage equivalent to a 24mm lens (full-frame) with a guide number of 79 (ft.) / 24 (m) at ISO 100. The Tele position boosts the guide number to 105 (ft.) / 32 (m) at ISO 100 while providing coverage for lenses 50mm and longer (full-frame).

Lightweight, pocket-sized, grip-friendly, and with an intuitive, easy-to-operate design, the Speedlite 320EX is powered by 4 AA batteries (not included) and recharges silently in approximately 2 seconds.

good can be even better

from Reston, VA  -  Photo Enthusiast

To complement the new gen of DSLRs we need more flexible flashes. This is a good step in that direction, and I'd like to see more from Canon and others.

Great Flash .. Great Value

Great Value .. cannot beat it for the price

Love it so far

from East Greenbush, NY  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I did a photo shoot yesterday with the flash, using the rechargeable batteries and bracket that came with the flash. I did studio and outdoor shots and it functioned perfectly in both settings. As an added bonus the bracket made it easier to remove the camera from the not very great tripod I use as we headed outdoors. What a difference an adjustable flash makes in image quality. Sometimes you regret a purchase but not this time...I love it so far. I have not used the hood that came with it but I'll give that a try on my next shoot.

Great general use flash w/ great feature

from Lakewood,ca  -  Photo Enthusiast

Love this flash. I like the LED light for video and indoor photography. Also love the remote trigger function for off camera use. Really allows for some fun and creative shots.

Solid Flash

from Chapel Hill  -  Photo Enthusiast

A good, all-around flash for anyone from beginners to expert photographers. The LED light on the front of the flash is very useful for shooting video in low light

Already own two

from Wilmington, DE  -  Semi-pro Photographer

Already own two for myself. Bought one as a gift for my son's family with a new infant. Very functional, compact and versatile with the Canon T3i.

from PA  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I don't really like this flash....first it does the pulsating pre flash which is noisy and distracting especially at weddings. Secondly, it doesn't seem to have much battery life. I am going to keep playing with it to see if I can get some of the settings changed but so far what I have is the way it is...

Night shots

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
vanessa l  I chose it because i like the flash to be off camera but the off-camera ettl 2 coiled cord doesn't work. There's no way the flash wants to be mounted to the hot shoe of the cord!!
Nestor L  I'm looking to buy a flash for my Canon EOS Rebel T3i. I just want to make sure that this flash + kit would be best for my camera, as well very compatible?
ALEX F  I've been using it for a T3i successfully for over a year now. Only main complaint is that the nut where the cord mounts to the frame works loose. This is the lowest end flash that has the wireless connection features where the camera and flash can control each other.
Geoff S  Will the off camera flash work (e-TTL?) with my Rebel eos xs?
Terry C  Honestly I assume so but the camera end of my cable broke the first time I monted it on the camera so Have not used it. The rest of the kit works fine and it was likely just a bad component. I did not try to have it replaced so do not blame the manufacturer
