About Canon

Polarizing filter enhances picture quality by blocking harmful reflected light. Use it to reduce polarized light reflections from glass and water surfaces or to improve color saturation. Simple to use, circular polarizing filters (such as Canon's PL-C) polarize light circularly, rather than linearly, so it does not interfere with autofocus or TTL light metering.

Excxellent Polarizer for Ametures

By

from Santa Cruz, CA  -  Casual Photographer

I took this filter to Africa. Plenty of opportunity to color correct for bright sky and water reflection. This filter worked extremely well especially for the modest investment

Make the glass match the glass

By

from Boston, MA  -  Pro Photographer

I use this to manage shots on or near the ocean. The atmospheric haze often mutes the background objects and this lens corrects for that. It is also great to dramatize the sky.

Filter This

By

Absolute must filter to have. The only problem is removing the filter when shooting indoors. I use a UV filter to protect the lens and use this filter for effects. Most times, I have to remove both filters to get the Polarizer off, then separate them and then put the UV back on. I thought about removing the UV and just replace with polarizer, but the objective is to always have a filter on the lens. The functionality of this lens does more than expected.

Awesome Filter

By

from Louisville, KY  -  Photo Enthusiast

I use this in combination with my UV filter. The effects are wonderful as what I can expect from Canon product. Anyone shoots landscapes, and water, these are a necessary item. I don't mind the extra money I spent for this because I know that when I buy Canon, I am always getting quality.

Questions about this item:

Mike S  will this work well with the canon 10-22?
ANN S  Yes - the Canon 10-22 takes a 77mm filter size.
James H  Hello. Does the regular lens cap fit over this once it's on the end of the lens? I have a Canon 6D with EF 24-105 F/4 IS USM and just want to make sure I can put the lens cap on when in use. Thanks!
NICHOLAS D  I've got the same lens, and the original lens cap fits fine.
Shopper  Need 77 mm circular polarizer for Canon 24-105 L IS and Canon 7D What is difference Canon Polarizer PL-C and PL-CB. Used Canon 77 SKU 484064 @ $54 E+ looks best for digital camera?
JOHN G  I actually think they are the same thing. You should be able to double check this on Canon's web site or do a Google.
