An Excellent Battery

from Acton, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

Because it's a Canon original it is worth the extra money for the extra service that you get from it.

I would definetly by this product again!

Excellent product.

Canon Batteries have Quality

from Crookston, MN  -  Pro Photographer

I use Canon cameras daily for work. I purchased off brand batteries but they do not last.

This battery is just fine!

from Northern Virginia  -  Photo Enthusiast

It's hard to review a battery, especially when it's brand new and has hardly been used. However, I have bought both Canon brand batteries and "generics" for my Canon 5D in the past. I have decided to stay with the Canon band batteries from now on. While both fit in the camera and do what batteries do, the "generic" doesn't quite fit the charger. I have not done a "usage comparison" to see how long each lasts or how many shots they take. I wish this Canon product had some sort of gauge so the user can tell when it should be recharged and when it should be replaced. Both of the ones I had that were purchased simultaneously pooped out simultaneously in the middle of the mass ascension at the Albuquerque balloon festival several years back.

Original Eqiupment is the Best

from Sacramento, CA  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I've tried a couple of aftermarket (cheaper) batteries and conclude that you get what you pay for. The Canon OEM batteries consistently last longer between charges and last longer overall. They do cost more, but their usefulness is clearly evident.

a quality battery

from NY  -  Pro Photographer

good battery - long lasting - fast recycle - always read your camera instruction book to purchase the correct battery - shoot with confidence with genuine Canon batteries.

Good battery

from White Plains, NY  -  Photo Enthusiast

I wanted a back up battery that works with my digital Canon camera. I talked with Adorama staff by phone, and I got advice on what was available, brand name and generic, used and new. I took the advice and did not regret my decision. This battery is reliable.

Still trustworthy after 3 years

from Saint John, IN  -  Photo Enthusiast

I bought a Canon EOS 50D with two Canon BP-511A Li-on Rechargeable Batteries back in . And after 3 years of photoshoots and athletic events, it appears as though I'll have to fix the camera lens's automatic focus feature (from overuse) before considering a new set of batteries. The batteries are durable, reliable, and long-lasting. I've been impressed!

Canon batteries are better than clones

from Bay St. Louis, MS  -  Semi-pro Photographer

Experience has taught me that the after market batteries are never as good as those produced for the original camera manufacturer and which bear its name. The Canon batteries are 4 to 5 times as expensive, but they last much longer than the after market batteries.

As expected

from Kemp, TX  -  Photo Enthusiast

I've only had one day of use, but it performed as well as all my other Canon batteries.
