Autofocus recording with supported AF lenses, a multi-angle control/LCD panel, a removable handle and rotating grip, and many other innovations provide compelling mass-market appeal.

No question, this is a great camera. My only two cents: be careful when plugging in the audio/handle. I had several pins bend on me and had to ship my unit back in for repairs, and of course, the extended warranty did not cover it. But otherwise, I foresee this camera lasting me a long time. It produces a beautiful image, the ergonomics are outstanding, and it has all the strengths of a DSLR and video camera.
I bought this camera from Adorama and have been pretty happy about the purchase until the Autofocus failed after 3 days of using the camera. I contacted Canon USA and they advised me to reset the camera to manufacture default which I did. Unfortunately it did not fix the issue. The Autofocus square was still active but the camera was not able to engage the focus. I wish I could return the C100 to Adorama but their customer service said it's non-returnable item. Got to deal with Canon repair center on my first week of owning this camera which is a big frustration. Hope the other buyers will be more lucky.
