About Cactus V5

The Cactus V5 Shutter Cable for Olympus E-620 will transform your Cactus V5 Wireless Flash Transceiver into a wireless shutter release device. A shutter release cable is an ideal device to prevent camera shake when you press the shutter release button. It is a must for night photography or taking photos in B-mode.

Simply connect the coiled shutter cable from your camera's remote control terminal to the V5 transceiver X-Sync Port and you can wirelessly control the shutter of your camera. This operation will not interfere with your wireless flash setup using another set of V5 transceivers set on different channels. So you may run both shutter release and wireless flash systems in parallel. All of this is made possible by the V5 Shutter Cable.

I recently purchased these to get away from "command mode" I also purchased a single one, to have a set of 3. They work amazing. They fire every single time. I shoot with a D90, Metz AF-50 flash, along with an AB1600. I have only used these products outside, and I have not had a misfire yet. I love the fact that you can interchange the devices between being a transmitter and a receiver just by a switch.

Excellent product, great price!

i have been using those cactus V5 for 2 years!!! i love them, easy to use..they do the job : i set up off-camera flashes at wedding receptions and they have never failed me!!!! {and i even keep on dropping them}. I also use them outdoor for Sunset portraits. They are really inexpensive. I have 4 of those (each one can be used as transmitter or receiver). The only thing is that they won't use TTL , but since i always use manual in OFF-camera Flashes, it does not bother me....if you are in the market for something like that, take a look at them...much cheaper than the Pocket"things" for the same job
