These pinch caps work great!

It's about time Canon caught up with everyone else. These caps work great especially with some of the lens hoods which can be quick long.

Cannon's Baby Steps

from Los Angeles, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

Finally Canon decides to include the more accessible pinch-lens cap. Such a simple change that now lets me leave my lens cap on because I am no able to quickly remove the cap without fumbling or reaching for the sides deep into the lens hood. Hopefully this is the standard moving forward.

Should be standard on all Canon lenses

my big hands can get the lens cap off with the lens shade on

Much easier to remove and replace lens cover than older design.

Improved from standard lens cap

from Mesa, AZ  -  Semi-Professional

I lost my last cap for my 17-85 but perhaps it was a good thing! I replaced it with this one and it is a huge improvement over the cap that came with the lens. It's a good fit and easy to take off and put back on.

Center-pinch caps have been long overdue! I bought this for my 100mm macro and it's perfect.

Must have!

from Chicago  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

I've been using my tamron lens caps always over the canon ones, since you are not able to grap those with a hood attached. I wont understand why canon delivers even their expensive lenses with this poor caps, so finally I bought this one. And its even better than the Tamrons, well built and good looking. Now include this in your standard lens packages canon!

A Must Purchase

from Fountain Valley, CA  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

Fits more secure than the one shipped with the camera body.

Good Buy!

Finally Canon made a smart product - center pinch cap.

Designed to work weel and last

from Tamaqua, PA  -  Hobbyist/Enthusiast

Bought this lens cap to replace the original that came with the lens. Took a walk in the woods and lost the original. I guess it didn't have enough tension to keep it locked in place. The replacement I purchased is positive latching and seems to hold up just fine. From the time I ordered it ,to the time I received it was only two days. Good job Adorama.

Works great

Canon product, well made, works well.

Questions about this item:

ACCOUNTS P  will this work on the EOS T5i and T4i camera with a 67mm ?
ROBERT A  I cannot answer your question I have a different camera.
STEPHEN S  The lens cap, as all lens caps, are sold by the inside diameter of the front tread of your lens. Your questions is the equivalent of saying, "Will that belt fit me?" I don't know, what size belt are you looking at and what is the circumference of your waist? These lens caps come in a bunch of sizes. Just measure your lens thread inside diameter and order the appropriate size. By the way, I find these caps much more secure that Canon's older style. I own three of different sizes and am happy with all of them.
