This device greatly expands the use of the 50mm F 2.5 macro lens it is designed for. However, unlike an ordinary tele-converter it does not allow infinity focus. To compensate for this it does allow other lenses to be used with it as long as you don't use auto focus.

This is a Great little tool to add to your lens, It is like a 2x extender but the difference is that you can't focus to infinity and you have to move a little closer. you only loose about a 1/2 stop but you double your magnification so with my 70-200mm L IS, I can now focus on an object that is 6.2 cm wide(that is 2.5 inches wide (using 60d), although canon says it was designed for the 50mm 2.5 compact macro it works with all EF lenses in your arsenal well actually I dont think it's compatible with the EF-s lenses, but it is a must have in your bag of tricks. Also look up MR-14ex flash rings and 50mm 2.5 compact macro if you don't have it already!
