Great strap but problems

I loved the look and length of this strap. Unfortunately after wearing it for an eight hour wedding it had rubbed me so bad it left me looking like I had a horrible sunburn all around my neck. 48 hours later and it is still visible and I am in pain :( Chaffing is a HUGE issue with this strap
