I put this card into my MAC Pro, and it works great. I did a lot of research on USB 3.o cards, and this one had the best reviews for the MAC.

The main reason was to use the USB 3 speed on a Mac running 10.7 Lion. However while the drivers worked and the external hard drive appeared where it should, the speeds were the same as a USB 2 specification. The Drive a LaCie type would not work at all with the LaCie supplied USB 3.0 drivers.

Designed for use with CalDigit certified devices, the CalDigit Super Speed PCI Express Card is the first to offer USB 3.0 connectivity to both Mac and PCs with an available PCIe slot. For the first time, Mac users can utilize USB 3.0 due to a special driver that has been developed by CalDigit. This two-port card enables the use of next generation USB technology, capable of speeds up to 5Gbps. The Super Speed Card is optimized for use with CalDigit certified products such as the CalDigit AV Drive.
The Super Speed Express Card is compatible with modern Windows systems. The driver has been optimized for CalDigit certified products. The Super Speed Express Card is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 (connection to USB 2.0 yields USB 2.0 performance).
