Before buying this I used to carry my gear in a Lowepro Sling bag. My issues with this was that I had to pick and choose what I wanted to bring with and often heard myself saying "man I wish i had ___ with me". So I popped for this bag. As the title says, that was my first reaction when I got it. This thing reminds me of the rucksacks we carried in the military. There are more pockets and places for gear than you know what to do with. Shortly after I got everything set up how I wanted it I took a trip up Pikes Peak for the International Hill Climb. This bag came in handy, as I was able to take a days worth of water with me and the extra area allowed me to take some snacks to help get thru the entire day. Worked great, even when it started to rain and hail on us, the protective cover kept everything bone dry through the showers. The ONLY reason I marked this 4 stars and not 5 is that with the ability to carry everything...you run into the problem of carrying too much. Not a big deal in town and on shoots when you have transportation close to where you are shooting. But if you are out in the woods or hiking to remote areas this can add to the difficulty. (So again, you run into the problem of "what do I want to bring")
