About Acufine

ACU-1 is a maximum acutance, ultra-fine grain film developer, combining optimum quality, with great effective speed. ACU-1's higher speed ratings permit the use of slower films with superior resolving power and finer grain in situations that previously required high speed films. ACU-1 is a developer designed for those who prefer to work with a "one-time" use preparation with convenient dilution ratios.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
STEPHANIE A  Husband uses it.
Rich B  Do you still have Acufine developer for push processing???
Donald W  Acufine IS a push-processing developer. Notice on the label that not all roll film (120) can be developed with this product. Even a few 35mm films can't be processed. I follow the directions TO THE LETTER and I have not tried to "push" the films beyond what the label says. Unlike my favorite, DIAFINE, Acufine has various times for developing certain films. Diafine, however is standard at 3 minutes for the A and B solutions. Over the years I have narrowed my choice of films to two or three Kodak products, only. Tri-X (Pro - ASA 320), Tri-X (ASA 400) and Plus-X (ASA 125). Take note that film prices have DOUBLED. Acufine is a great product when time and temps are observed TO THE LETTER.
