The FTG3x3SET5 consists of the Linear Polarizer, Soft Focus, Solid ND (0.6), Graduated Blue (0.3), and Graduated Orange (0.3)

Linear Polarizer
The polarizer filter reduces light entering the lens that is oriented in a single plane (polarized light) without affecting color temperature. Light reflected off glass or water, as well as some of the light emitted from the sky on a clear day, is polarized. When rotated to the appropriate angle, the polarizer can largely eliminate reflections off glass or water. Furthermore, the polarizer will reduce glare and excess sky light, thereby increasing sharpness, contrast and color saturation of the image.

Soft Focus
The soft focus filter can be used for a variety of purposes. Because it reduces hard lines, it can be used to smooth out facial blemishes. It can also be used to reduce excessive sharpness and to reduce contrast. Furthermore, it allows light to seep into the shadow areas creating a softer edge between the light and dark areas of the scene. The soft focus filter is often used to create a surreal look for such purposes as dream sequences and flashbacks.

Solid ND 0.6
The solid neutral density filter reduces the amount of light entering the lens, without affecting color. It is used primarily when the light level exceeds that which the film stock or video CCD can handle; this is often the case when shooting on a sunny day in a location featuring an abundance of light reflection such a desert, ocean or snowy landscape. If a reduction in depth of field is desired, the ND filter can help achieve this because it allows you to open the lens aperture further without changing exterior light levels. ND filters come in increments of 0.3, where each increment is equivalent to one stop. For example, if a scene is overexposed by 2 stops use a 0.6 ND filter to get proper exposure.

Graduated Blue 0.3
The graduated blue filter can be used to change the hue in one specific area of the image. One half of the filter is colored blue and the other half is transparent with a gradual transition between the two. The filter can be shifted and rotated in the filter stage to affect the portion of the image that is desired. The grad blue filter is especially useful for creating a blue sky effect.

Graduated Orange 0.3
The graduated orange filter can be used to change the hue in one specific area of the image. One half of the filter is colored orange and the other half is transparent with a gradual transition between the two. The filter can be shifted and rotated in the filter stage to affect the portion of the image that is desired. The grad orange filter is especially useful for creating a sunset sky effect.
