About Shining Technology

Shining Technology's CitiDISK HDV 160GB External Video Capture Device is designed specifically for HDV and DV25 camcorders, such as the Sony HDR-FX100 and Canon XH-A1. Capture your footage over FireWire directly to this lightweight, high-capacity drive and store it in your choice of format--AVI, MOV, DV, or M2T. You can simultaneously record to tape for archiving and backup.

These files can then be easily transferred to your nonlinear editing system, saving you the time-consuming hassle of capturing or digitizing HDV/DV footage after the fact. And with its ability to automatically detect what file format is being ingested, whether NTSC/PAL or HDV/DV, the CitiDISK HDV is sure to bring a new level of ease to your production.
