How does it stand up to salt air?
A to Q:
I ordered this Bino 8/20/12 and today is 9/20/12 so it is a short "Trial time" for a real test. We have been in an extrordinary heat wave here for the whole time. I took it to La Jolla, CA to observe the Sea Lions and the Seals in thier natural ocean habitat. I found the eye cushions are not deep enough for comfortable focus adjustment without engaging ones eyelashes. You might focus first on a more stationary object, then spot as a monocular and last try to view in a round binocular field of vision?
I was on the shore and it was 103 degrees at 2:00 PM and humid as a steam bath. The subjects were 100 to 500 yards away and fairly clear in the water. The lens never fogged over in that heat and no internal haze. Salt air effect in that one short sunlight exposure was unknown to me. The price is less than a lunch for two so it is what it is. If you plan serious use for long duration viewing you might seek higher feature functionality and comfort.
