I'm still trying to get this thing to work with my laptop. So seeing it in action, would be a misnomer. Times been limited so maybe I will get this and the GPS to tie into my laptop.

My first attempt in using the product was dissapointing. I stay outside US so it has been particularly important that I get the right product the first time otherwise it is a big hassle to get a replacement (like it has been this time). I own Nexstar 8 SE and was excited that finally I will have some use for the Aux port at the base of my mount. However, upon trying out the product, i realized that the Wifi connection in Direct mode was intermittent and Accesspoint mode simply did not work. Celestron suppport was un-responsive initially when I sent an email but upon following up via phone I started getting responses. I have already asked for a replacement and the best suggestion from Celestron thus far has been to upgrade my h/c to NXS 4.21. This latest suggestion has come more than a month after I called celestron support and after I have already sent my Wifi adapter for replacement. Am keenly awaiting the replacement and in the meantime I have upgraded my hand control to NXS ver 4.21. I hope the adapter works fine this time. I would not recommend this to a friend for now until I see it working.

Despite being shown as a "related product" on the web page for my telescope (NexStar 114GT), the software does not work on any NexStar GT telescope. If you have a NexStar GT, save yourself $105.00 ([$] for the SkyQ Link, $4.99 for SkyQ software) and pass on this.
