While it is intended to remove stubborn particulate in the corners of the sensor I use it to remove a single particle on the sensor rather than sweep the entire sensor with a wet swab which may cause more problems. Two bucks a piece for a piece of plastic with a tiny piece of polyester material stuck on the end is outrageous but it works so I try not to protest too loudly.
