I am an avid gamer and I listen to a lot of music, so I was looking for a pair or headphones that could handle both really well, with a preference toward a bassy sound. After doing a lot of research online, I found the Creative Aurvana Live. This website had the best price, so I went ahead and ordered it. It arrived a week or so later; and I was pumped, cause I'd heard great things about it. Opening the box, I was extremely pleased by the professional packing, and even more so by the classy look of the headphones themselves. They are a shiny black on the sides, with a nice leathery look on top. Trying them on, I found they expanded enough to fit even my XXL head, which was one concern I had. The ear cups were just a tad smaller than I would have liked, but the pleather is so comfy, I don't mind the contact with my ears too much. I used them with my iPhone to listen to a little music, and was immediately impressed. The headphones have incredible clarity and soundscape, and I could mentally count the different instruments involved in the music along with a direction. Vocals also sounded very clean and up front, and I was able to notice little sounds that I'd never heard on cheaper equipment. They have also been a pleasure to use while gaming, while I haven't tested them in a first person shooter just yet, they have been great in the top-down game of league of legends I usually play. They also do a decent job at blocking out ambient noise, which I really like since I live in a noisy home. As far as build quality goes, I'm not quite as happy, but happy nonetheless. The headphones feel just a tad flimsy compared to my old set, which have lasted me over2 years, and the cord doesn't seem too tough either. There is metal in the headband, so it could be worse. I'm very careful with my electronics, so it's not really an issue to me , but it could be for someone else. All in all, it's a phenomenal headphone for the price, and I would recommend them to anyone.
