  • MP4-EX Import: Mac OSX Requirements

    MacIntel Computer Only; recommended at least Intel Core 2 Duo with two cores or two physical processors
    Mac Intel with OSX 10.5.8(Leopard) or 10.6.8(Snow Leopard) or 10.7.2(Lion)
    Either Final Cut Pro 6.0.6 or 7.0.3 (earlier versions not supported), OR CalibratedQ} XD Decode for OSX is needed to decompress the video in the MP4 files

  • .MP4 File Formats

    The following MP4 files ( in BPAV folder structure or not) will work with CalibratedQ} MP4-EX Import:
    Directly from cameras:
    Sony XDCAM EX MP4 files
    JVCProHD HM 700/HM100 MP4 files
    Rendered from Software:
    MP4 files created with Sony XDCAM Transfer in Final Cut Pro

  • XD Decode: Mac OSX Requirements

    MacIntel Computer Only; recommended at least Intel Core 2 Duo with two cores or two physical processors

About Calibrated Software MP4-EX

The Calibrated Software CalibratedQ} MP4-Ex Import for Mac OSX is a QuickTime component for NATIVE Importing and Playback of Sony XDCAM Ex MP4 Files and JVC ProHD HM700/HM100 MP4 Files within QuickTime Player 7 and CatDV when used in conjunction with CalibratedQ} XD Decode. When being used with CalibratedQ} MP4-Ex Import, this application enables you to batch create QuickTime Reference .MOV files from XDCAM Ex MP4 files or batch unlock/lock XDCAM Ex MP4 files on your harddrive.

The CalibratedQ} XD Decode for Mac OSX is a multi-threaded QuickTime Codec (Decode Only) that enables you to view and use Apple XDCAM HD, XDCAM Ex and HDV QuickTime Movies(.MOV Files Only) in QuickTime Player and other 3rd party applications that support QuickTime.

Calibrated Software MP4-EX Features

  • MP4-EX Import: Natively import XDCAM EX .MP4 files from JVCPro HD HM700/HM100 and Sony XDCAM EX cameras into Final Cut Studio 2 & 3 Apps (except Color), CatDV and QuickTime Player 7
  • MP4-EX Import: Timecode, Audio, Pixel Aspect Ratio, Frame Type (Progressive or Upper) and Aperture Support
  • MP4-EX Import: Supports MP4 files with or without BPAV folder structure
  • MP4-EX Import: Includes a XDCAM EX MP4 QuickLook component
  • MP4-EX Import: Includes additional 'helper' application
  • XD Decode: View and use Apple XDCAM HD 35Mb, XDCAM HD 50Mb 422, XDCAM EX and HDV MOV files in QuickTime Player and other applications that support QuickTime
  • XD Decode: YUV conversion to either SMPTE(16,235) RGB or Full Range(0,255) RGB
  • XD Decode: Output watermark to see what colorspace and bit depth applications are requesting
