From the trusted company that's been creating innovative contact management solutions for over 14 years, CardScan Personal is the most affordable system. The Personal scanner is designed to take on the road, so it's ideal for scanning in your hotel room, on the plane, train or at a tradeshow.
Scanning business cards is only half the story. You're likely getting as many contacts in email these days. CardScan makes quick work of that, too.
Simply highlight the contact information in an email signature, web page or other text file and drag it over to the CardScan software. It's instantly placed into the correct fields. It can't be much easier than that!
If you're sync'ing to Outlook, you now have your contact data there too, all with one click of the mouse. CardScan is also the only leading business card reader with online back-up, web access and an updating service. CardScan keeps your data safe so you can access it anytime.
How's it different from other CardScan products? CardScan Personal is the most affordable system. It's designed for an individualto use. It includes the same software as CardScan Executive without the ability to sync with ACT!, Lotus Notes and GoldMine. The scanner is monochrome only unlike the Executive which is color or monochrome and faster.

CaqrdScan Business Card Scanner
Great little business card scanner. However, the unit is now out-of-date as it can't be used with 64 bit computers, and it is no longer being made. I had to use my husband's laptop as the software would not work on both my desktop and his desktop. Then when I went to look for technical support I found that it didn't work with 64 bit machines, and the software was last updated in 2009. Too bad, as it's a great little unit.

When I first started using the scanner, it worked great. However, now the software is not transferring the contacts to Outlook although none of the Sync information should have changed. The failure to transfer properly to Outlook makes this scanner almost worthless.

works fine. needed to update software for device to function with OS. would have like a synch with Google contacts
- Eight minutes out of the box and ready to use - Easily exports to Outlook
These are easy to use. We purchased several of them for scanning insurance cards. They could have a little bit larger scan size but overall they are good.
We used the older CardScan 7.05 scanners that worked with our Win XP machines. We use the scanner in an office environment to have a central location for all our contacts that can be accessed by multiple people at the same time. It does the job for us and seems to work on our newer Windows 7 64-bit machines, which was why we purchased it.
Plugged in downloaded supplied software started scanning.
Contrary to an earlier customer review, it does work on Windows 7 64 bit. It installed easily and is pretty darn smart. If the OCR places any info in the wrong spot, it is easy to fix. I like it well enough, I have ordered a 2nd one for my Son to use at his office.
I've had my Admins always enter my cards. This thing does it faster and better. I get an image stored of the actual card for future reference. Also, the OCR is amazing! It gets most fields perfectly correct for easy transmission to my Outlook Contacts.
I could have saved a lot of time and money if this product would have been properly advertised as not working with 64 bit operating systems. Typical American product, so I don't know why I should have expected it to work in the first place. I guess I should take the blame for expecting anything in America to work as advertised.
let's be clear and even more unambiguous ..... this card scanner DOES NOT WORK W/ANYTHING APPLE .... so, don't waste your hard earned money on this purchase... b/c when you return it... you'll have to pay a hefty restock fee...
